Renovations are underway at the second small residential property at our center. We have completed demolition to the interior and have rewired the electrical of the whole house. Our plan is to build another bathroom and redo all the walls. In addition, we need to change the roofs of both this and our other house and redo the landscape and rain water irrigation of the second house (there’s land erosion). All of which excludes interior furnishing after the renovation is complete. These facilities are a place our out-of-town practitioners can stay during retreats. There are lots to be done and the cost has exceeded our savings. These buildings are important to sustain continual retreat practice at the center, which is beneficial to and transformative for so many people’s lives.
Our projected aim for this fundraising is $100,000 in total. Please join our efforts to make our facility the best that it can be. Retreats lie at the heart of Chan practice.
