The Tallahassee Chan Center is a non-profit organization, completely run by volunteers. Even Guo Gu, our teacher, is a volunteer and does not receive a salary. Volunteering at the center is a great way to give back to the community and pay gratitude for the teachings that benefit us. Mindful work is also helpful in expanding your practice into daily life. When you sign up with our volunteer form below you are not obligated to participate in every volunteer activity. You may be invited to join a committee through which you can perform volunteer work. You will also receive periodic email notifications of opportunities to contribute. In some cases we need individuals with special skill sets, so if you have any skills or abilities that might benefit the center please let us know. For those not in the Tallahassee area, we have remote opportunities for volunteer work.
