We had a full house with Guo Gu’s students from the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) visiting the center on Wednesday April 11th, 2018. Guo Gu gave an explanation on how to get comfortable for seated meditation, such as insuring that one’s hips are higher than one’s knees. He then proceeded to lead a guided relaxation and instructions on how to thoroughly release tension in the body. The group were great students, being attentive, sitting still and appreciating the space. Several visitors shared how they had practiced sitting meditation in their OLLI class and had started a home practice. Shana Anderson, our yoga instructor, lead the group in some standing yoga stretches. Afterwards everyone enjoyed treats and a tour of the Center and campus. The group seemed to enjoy seeing the center and many indicated they plan to return for our regularly scheduled events.
