Group Bodhisattva Precepts Recitation
June 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
We host a monthly ceremony to recite the Bodhisattva Precepts as a way to recollect and renew our vows of the Bodhisattva way. Both people who have taken the formal vows, and those who have not, are all welcome on the third Friday of each month. Here is the link to the liturgy.
For those who have formally taken the Bodhisattva Precepts, please wear your robe and sash; if you come in person, bring the robe and sash to the Center in a pouch and then put it on just before entering the Chan Hall. If you participate from home, create a space for your practice and put on the robe and sash just before “entering” for the zoom gathering. If you would like to come before 6:30 to do repentance prostrations, you are welcome to do so. The ceremony will start at 6:30, and each Bodhisattva will have an opportunity to share what has come up in the past month. After 7pm, the general public can join. Please see the schedule below.
