Wood. Fire. Earth. Metal. Water.
Explore the five elements of Chinese Medicine in our bodies through guided, meditative dance and movement with Meira Cohns.

About the Class Series

A five-part dance series exploring how the five elements play together in a cycle of change. Learn about the elements and discover somatic responses to questions around the elements and how they show up in our bodies.

Each class will consist of:

    • • 15-minute warm-up exercise leading into an overview of the elements in the body
    • • Guided group exercise that deepens the exploration through the interactive aspects of an element
    • • 15-minute journaling and small group sharing (optional, following formal guidelines)

Email meiracohns@gmail.com for questions.

The movement will be guided with movement-based questions, movement prompts, and images. There is no choreography to remember and no specific way to look or “do”—just a body and an experience to explore.

When: Saturday April 5th, 12th, and 26th (no class on 4/19)

Cost: $10 per class (Please email the tallahassee.chan@gmail.com if you’d like to attend the class for free or for a reduced fee)
