Spencer shares insights and tools to help you feel more prepared and empowered in medical settings. Learn how to advocate for your health, ask helpful questions, and stay grounded while navigating appointments, insurance, and care decisions. We start with one period of 30 minute meditation followed by the talk and Q&A.

Spencer Dorn, MD, MPH, MHA, is a gastroenterologist who cares for adults with complex gastrointestinal and abdominal disorders. He serves as Vice Chair and Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina, where he helps lead a large multispecialty clinical practice and examines how digital technologies are reshaping clinical medicine. Spencer began a regular sitting practice in 2001, has practiced in the Chan tradition since 2018, and is a student of GuoGu.
